My story and why this work matters so much to me

I'm sure my life looked great from the outside.

I was a physiotherapist. I was ambitious. I was taking courses, working hard, trying to build a meaningful career, exercising, seeing friends, and doing all the things that looked "right."

But underneath that, I was constantly trying to prove myself.

I struggled with perfectionism, people-pleasing, and a quiet fear of getting things wrong. I froze in my physio school interview even though I knew the answers. Later, early in my career, I had a clinic owner tell me I had turned what should have been a symbiotic relationship into a parasitic one, and that I should feel ashamed.

And I did.

That moment stayed with me for a long time.

At the same time, I could see similar patterns in my relationships. I was holding things in. Shape-shifting. Avoiding conflict. Making assumptions instead of being honest. I also went through a period of significant back and leg pain that took me away from sports and movement I loved, and I started to see even more clearly how much fear, stress, and protection can live in the body.

My real epiphany was this:

This wasn’t a willpower problem.
And it wasn’t just a mindset problem either.

I had already done a lot of reflection and personal growth work. I understood my patterns. But understanding them was not changing how I showed up in the moments that mattered.

That’s when everything started to shift.

Through therapy, personal development, nervous system work, somatic healing, NLP, functional neurology, and deeper work with subconscious patterns, I began to understand that the responses I was stuck in were not flaws. They were protective strategies my system had learned over time.

And once I started working with those patterns instead of overriding them, real change became possible.

Now, I feel more grounded in myself. I still have stress and moments of doubt, but I do not get pulled under in the same way. I trust myself more. I’m more honest in my relationships. I follow through more consistently. I feel safer being myself.

And that is why I do this work.

Because I know what it is like to be self-aware but still stuck.
To understand your patterns but not know how to change them.
To look fine on the outside while struggling on the inside.

And I know what becomes possible when that starts to shift.

You might be thinking...

"I’ve already done therapy or coaching. Why would this be different?"

You may have done a lot of work already. Many of my clients have. They are self-aware and insightful, but what they often notice is that understanding has not translated into lasting change in the moment.

This work is different because we are not just working at the level of insight. We are working with the patterns as they show up in your body and nervous system, so the response itself can shift.

"What if nothing works for me?"

This is such an honest fear, especially if you’ve tried things that helped temporarily but didn’t last. Often when change doesn’t stick, it’s because we are trying to override the pattern rather than work with it.
